My Experience with Marriage

Laughter of mercy, sounds of the African drums, drizzling of the blue skies on my knees begging for mama and papa’s sake of mercy for being reborn with the sounds of the bitter sweet pains dialogues in my know land fear of being looked to as an alien .My life clock and calendar turned anticlockwise as it is said “no twilight with the courts of the sun”. I met this amusing man, whom I referred to as, “prince from the unknown land , soulmate or an answer to my frequent prayers from the Almighty” . Meeting him put a sparkle of brightness in my love life.

As an African woman, I always had to face what tomorrow had packaged for me. Good and bad times came our way but we had love to share. As the relationship progressed, things had to be done in an African society way, which meant leaving my known land happy and blessed by my family.

On this road I have walked I won’t say things are hard or smooth. One thing I always ask myself thou is how can love turn into sharp of hatred. After giving birth to my first born, my man’s ways, changed and as any most women i had to cope with change which wasn’t easy.

A couple of months passed going through the same hits of difficulties in a place I call home . Not forgetting one of my in-laws once said to me hiking mountains is like hating in marriage, I guess she was wrong but who knows down this lane I suggested. Women I was well bought up in an African manner. On Earth the most hardest creature to please is Adam’s gender.

My child is my only cowrie of hope.
